#Gabon: Health / Ebola: Actions area Cemac

 

Under the auspices of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), a focus on the epidemic of Ebola virus (FHVE), raging now in West Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is duly established by the Organization for Coordination for the Fight against endemic Diseases in Central Africa (OCEAC).

IN CEMAC region, no country has so far reported cases of Ebola. However, measures of prevention and preparedness to response, in case of a possible occurrence of the epidemic continue to be taken in member countries.

Among the measures already taken, we can cite the adoption of contingency plans / contingency, mobilization of domestic and external financial resources, the establishment of multi-sectoral committees emergency, banning flights from affected countries, etc. Besides these general responses to the Congo - Brazzaville is preparing to receive, from 16 to 18 September 2014, the meeting of Health Ministers of CEMAC.
