#Gabon: World Rivers Day: the Gabon will be part


 

This 9th edition will be celebrated this year under the theme "healthy river for healthy health."


World Rivers Day, scheduled for September 27, is an opportunity to celebrate rivers and wetlands across the country. The general management of aquatic ecosystems intends to use this opportunity to enhance awareness to the issue of the fight against pollution of rivers. Several activities are on the menu of the day, including public awareness on the issues of the protection of aquatic ecosystems, cleaning the river and Nzemé a conference debate on the impact of a possible pollution on rivers and the process water treatment.

The events of World Rivers Day will be held at Ntoum, head of the department of Komo-Mondah under the theme: "a healthy river for healthy health." In Gabon, the rivers are the main source of water for rural communities. Protection and sanitation are widely involved in improving the quality of life of rural people.
